Quick Outage Response
This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.
Information we process
Quick Outage Response keeps campaign progress, the current game session and game preferences locally on your iPhone. To synchronize campaign progress, the app automatically creates a random installation identifier and secret; this is not a personal account. The installation secret is kept in iOS Keychain, and the server stores only its cryptographic hash. The backend stores the installation identifier, completed levels, completed optional challenges, current campaign level and creation or update timestamps. We do not request your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos or advertising identifier.
When you connect, Cloudflare network infrastructure and Railway hosting necessarily receive network information such as your IP address and request metadata. The application temporarily uses IP addresses for request rate limiting. Application error logs contain a diagnostic error category and do not intentionally include installation secrets or campaign contents.
How we use information
Local storage allows you to play, resume a game and retain your settings without a network connection. The backend stores campaign snapshots so this installation can synchronize its progress after connectivity returns. The random secret restricts access to that installation’s data. Request limits and operational diagnostics help keep the service available and diagnose failures. The app does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, purchase profiling or automated marketing.
Service providers and sharing
Cloudflare terminates public HTTPS and proxies requests to the application backend on Railway. Requests, including synchronization payloads, pass through Cloudflare to deliver and protect the service. The backend and PostgreSQL database are hosted on Railway, which processes information needed to operate the service and its network infrastructure. Data therefore passes through Cloudflare, Railway and their infrastructure providers. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, sell your information, or send your progress to social networks. We may respond to legally binding obligations where applicable; this policy does not promise immunity from lawful requests.
Data retention
Local progress and preferences remain on the device until they are reset or removed through device storage controls. iOS Keychain can retain the installation credential independently of app files, so uninstalling alone is not a server deletion request. Server installation and campaign records remain until you request deletion through the app or the service is discontinued; there is no automatic campaign expiry implemented.
Deletion removes live installation and progress rows. Infrastructure logs and any provider-managed backups may persist according to the provider’s operational policies. We do not assert a fixed provider log or backup retention period, and deletion from the live database does not promise immediate erasure from every infrastructure backup.
Deleting your information
Use Reset Progress in Settings and confirm the reset to remove the installation’s local campaign and request deletion of its server data. The authenticated server operation removes the installation record and all related progress. If the device is offline, the app keeps the deletion request pending and retries when a connection is available; server deletion is complete only after the request succeeds or the credential no longer identifies accessible data.
The app does not offer account recovery or transfer to another device. If the installation secret is lost, we cannot reliably identify which random installation belongs to you. You may contact the privacy email below to ask about your data and available options, but do not send your installation secret by email.
After deletion, normal automatic synchronization uses a new random installation, initially with an empty campaign unless you have already started new local progress. The deleted installation and its history are not restored.
Permissions and your choices
The game does not request location, contacts, photo-library, microphone or camera permissions. You can change language, sound and motion preferences in Settings, and iOS accessibility settings remain available. Gameplay works locally while offline; synchronization needs a network connection. Resetting progress is the in-app choice for deleting the installation’s saved campaign. There is no advertising or analytics consent switch because those services are not integrated.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, or to complain to your local privacy authority. You can view campaign progress and request deletion within the app. For privacy questions or other requests, use the contact email below. Because the service uses a random installation credential rather than an account, we may need sufficient non-secret information to understand a request and may be unable to associate you with a record after the credential is lost.
Security
Public backend requests use HTTPS. Cloudflare terminates public TLS and forwards requests to the pinned Railway origin over HTTPS. Access to campaign records requires the installation-specific secret, which is stored in iOS Keychain on the device and as a hash on the server. The backend checks this credential for reads, writes and deletion, validates campaign data, limits payload size and uses parameterized database queries. Server database credentials stay in service configuration and are not bundled in the app. No system can guarantee absolute security; keep your device and operating system updated and do not share installation secrets.
Children’s privacy
Quick Outage Response is designed as a strategy puzzle for a general audience, with an intended audience aged 16 and older. It is not designed to solicit children’s personal information and provides no account, chat, advertising or contact form. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact the privacy email below so we can review the circumstances and any available deletion options.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the application’s data practices, service providers or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current policy. The current version is available from the Privacy Policy link in the app’s Settings and at this public website. Material changes will be reflected in the published policy and, where appropriate, an app update or other notice available in the product.
